Calculating the Odds

How to Calculate the Odds for Accumulators

Although you don’t have to calculate odds for the Accumulators while placing your bet, because most of the online betting platforms automatically calculate the odds and profit when you enter your stake. But you should learn how these betting platforms calculate the odds for accumulators. Normally, online betting platforms offer odds in two formats including, decimal odds and fraction odds.

If you have fractional odds for your bet, you need to divide the odds and then add +1 to each add, this will give you the decimal form of odds. Now you will have to multiply each odd with your bet value. For example, if you are placing a bet of £10 on a four-fold accumulator, and the odds for four selections are 6/5, 9/5, 7/5, and 4/5. You can calculate your total return from the bet by using following method:

Total Return = 10 × (6/5 + 1) × (9/5 + 1) × (7/5 + 1) × (4/5 + 1)

If you have decimal odds for your bet, you can easily calculate the total return of your bet by simply multiplying the odds with your stake. For example, if you want to place a £10 bet on a four-fold accumulator, and odds for your selections are 1.6, 2.5, 1.8, and 2.8. You can calculate your total return of your accumulator bet by using following method:

Total Return = 10 × 1.6 × 2.5 × 1.8 × 2.8

In any case, if you get a high total return from an ACCA bet as compared to other single bets, it would be a great idea to go for it. As always we highly recommend you read up on the latest news with websites such as Football 24-7.
